Sustainable communities. Sustainable futures.
At Jayman, we believe in creating lasting communities. To do this, we build quality homes in well-planned developments. But to ensure our communities are truly equipped for future generations, we also focus on sustainability.
Jayman & Built Green™
An advocate of energy efficiency, Jayman spearheaded the introduction of the Built Green concept in Alberta. Built Green is an industry driven program throughout Alberta and British Columbia. Promoting an environmentally friendly approach to home construction, the program focuses on market education and builder training, emphasizing better energy efficiency, improved air quality and lowered environmental impact.
Built Green has four levels of achievement - Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Points are awarded to each home based on products and construction methods. Jayman MasterBUILT homes lead the industry, meeting - or beating - bronze certification.
Our Commitment to the Future
- Because water quality and availability is a growing concern, Jayman equips its homes with low-flow toilets.
- The lumber we use for framing, decks and hardwood flooring come from sustainable harvested sources.
- Prefabricated external wall panels reduce job-site waste.
- We use recycled materials, including insulation, asphalt roofing and interior doors.
- We try to source our products locally to cut down on transportation costs.
- We help homeowners 'go green' with built-in recycling centres and provide local water usage guides.
